It's ok. You are heading in the right direction with flow and blending. But Charmander is supposed to be a fire pokemon, and fire creates light, so instead of making a dark tag here, you should have gone for a lighter approach.

Good:
C4D Flow
Decent Blending

Bad:
Light/Dark is off
No light source
Low Q
Text is bad

Also, what program are you using? If you are using GIMP save it as a .png

If you are using PS, try doing "Save for Web" then at the top select the drop-down box and PNG-24 this is how you get rid of the pix-elating on the text, C4D, and your render. Unless you are changing their size when they aren't a smart object :/
