How do you scroll an item above the max slots?

I think you can use hammers to raise the number of slots but beyond that I have no clue...
Im only asking because I saw someone with +22, im sorry if im missing something.

You can use Scrolling tickets, it resets the hammer!

Well everytime you upgrade an item with Gina she'll reset the hammered slots. So what you do is basically upgrade the item and hammer it, scroll it, repeat.

No they both reset your hammered slots which mean you'll only get 2 additional slots but yellow adds 25 stats while green only adds 10
